- GLOVIS shipped its Millionth car to Brunswick, GA
- We open a 3rd shift at the HMMA plant

2011

- Los Angeles Freight Forwarding Division moves to HQ .
- GLOVIS New Jersey established
- Quality, Operations Administration department added to GLOVIS
- GLOVIS shipped it Millionth Kia to Tacoma, WA
- GLOVIS processed & shipped 1,075,034 cars The following ports were open for business
 : Alliance, Brunswick, Hueneme, Midlothian, Montgomery, National City, Philadelphia, Portland, Tacoma, West Point .

 

2010


- GLOVIS started importing the Equus into both Brunswick and Hueneme .
- GLOVIS Canada Inc. incorporated on August 12, 2010 
- GLOVIS processed & shipped approximately 794,436 cars.
- The following ports were open for business
 : Alliance, Brunswick, Hueneme, Midlothian, Montgomery, National City, Philadelphia, Portland, Tacoma, West Point.

 

2009

 
- KMMG processing beings
- GLOVIS purchased its building and moved its headquarters to Irvine, CA.
- GLOVIS processed & shipped approximately 721,861 cars.
- The following ports were open for business
 : Alliance, Baltimore, Brunswick, Hueneme, Midlothian, Montgomery, National City, Newark, Portland, Tacoma, West Point.

 

2008


- Employers Group awarded GLOVIS America 5th place for 2008 Best Places to Work .
- GLOVIS processed & shipped approximately 659,230 cars.
- The following ports were open for business: Alliance, Baltimore, Brunswick, Hueneme, Midlothian, Montgomery, Newark, Portland, Richmond, Tacoma.

 

2007


- Employers Group awarded GLOVIS America 3rd place for 2007 Best Places to Work.
- GLOVIS Georgia was established; therefore, we put together a team in WestPoint to support the KMMG facility.
- GLOVIS processed & shipped approximately 772,625 cars.
- The following ports were open for business
 : Alliance, Baltimore, Brunswick, Hueneme, Midlothian, Montgomery, Newark, Portland, Richmond, Tacoma.

 

2006

- 2006 was a landmark year for GLOVIS. The plan was to move between 800,000 and 900,000 cars for both HMA and KMA. At the end of the year, GLOVIS had moved over 1.2 Million vehicles for its customers!
- GLOVIS processed & shipped approximately 749,032 cars.

2005


- March 1, 2005 Hyundai Motor Manufacturing America was open and operational. Therefore, our VPC Team also became operational.
- GLOVIS continued to grow that year with its Freight Forwarding Division. Freight Forwarding has expanded from a two person office in Los Angeles to have another fully functional office in Mobile Alabama.
- GLOVIS processed & shipped approximately 732,600 cars.
- The following ports were open for business
 : Alliance, Baltimore, Brunswick, Hueneme, Jersey City, Midlothian, Montgomery, Newark, Portland, Richmond, Tacoma.

 

2004


- November 5, 2004 GLOVIS America, Inc. Headquarters relocate to a facility double the size of the original offices.
- New plant in Alabama was a major focus for the entire Hyundai Auto Group family. Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) and the Parts Consolidation Center (CC) were major focuses for GLOVIS.
- GLOVIS processed & shipped approximately 696,398 cars.
- The following ports were open for business
 : Alliance, Baltimore, Brunswick, Hueneme, Jersey City, Midlothian, Newark, Portland, Richmond, Tacoma.

 

2003


- Hankook Logitech changed its name to GLOVIS effective July 1, 2003. The meaning of the name “GLOVIS” means Global Vision.
- Need to consolidate several ports in order to streamline operations to handle multi brand ports.
- The following ports were open for business
 : Alliance, Baltimore, Benicia, Brunswick, Jacksonville, Jersey City, Los Angeles, Midlothian, Newark, Portland, Tacoma.

 

2001 ~ 2002


- 2001 Executives within Hyundai Auto Group and the logistics arm of Hyundai Auto Group decided to expand their business and begin operations in the United States.
- The combining of HMA and KMA logistic departments’ operational staff created an entirely new administrative group within the company.
- November 16, 2002 the new company was officially incorporated as Hankook Logitech Co., Ltd. (HKLA). This was to be the name temporarily until parent company came up with global operational name.
